Already have the fixed version. Just got them back from the printer yesterday. He was busy for the last week or so. I'm going to try to get them out to Nik this week.

Steve, Maybe you should just go ahead and put them decals on your saw. Then you could say you owned one of the Very Rare Double FF Poulans! Kinda like when the mint strikes a bad coin or odd bill, makes them really valuable to own. LOL:hmm3grin2orange:

Good idea, Gregg. Actually I thought they would make excellent candidates for sale on eBay or to give to your best "friends" to see if they noticed.

I had them stored on my laptop for so long before I noticed. It was even my desktop background for a while. One night I'm admiring them and I look over at my wife and say "How many f's in professional Linda" .."just one dear"...... "sh1t!"

That's a matter of opinion my friend. Of the two, I'd rather have the 795....assuming tbe P/C are good. Now if it was a 245A vs a 10-10......then I'd grab the Poulan.
That's like comparing an XL12 with a 4200 (or a 4200 with an XL923). Gotta compare apples to apples (be they red, green, or yellow).

Yep. I like my 103cc 23 pound chainsaws. I realize that this is the Poulan thread.....but...you'd think I'd waltzed in her spouting "pull-on" nonsense and calling you guys a buncha "green drips" for the loada crap I just got. I like OLD Homelite, McCulloch, AND Poulan saws.

No, my whole point was as a collector, the 795 is not hard to find. If I really wanted one, I could get one this week.
A really, really nice 8500 on the other hand is hard to find.
I wasn't baseing it on size or performance.

It looks like one I have. Mine is a 3500, not a bad saw, crankcase is made of metal, I've heard these were Poulan's last attempt at a Pro saw, but I'm not sure about that one.
I like mine just fine. It's also possible it might be a 3000 or a 3300, same thing just slightly smaller engine. Probably an easy fix, I imagine a carb kit and/or fuel lines would get it going.

Could also be a 2700 or 2800 or 3000 as they all look the same. From the decal though I'd say its smaller.

Getting ready to put my S25DA back together pretty soon, but while I have it apart....are there any performance gains to be had via muffler mods, light porting, delete cylinder gasket (squish), or should I just leave it alone.
In stock form the venerable S25 is no slouch....and I am happy with it "as is", but wondering if anyone has tinkered with them.
I have run mine plenty...but never worked on one prior to this.
