Don't go getting all paranoid It's going to be a help when people can't describe their symptoms, or don't want to. Or better yet try to lie about something. If you don't abuse anything then you shouldn't have anything to worry about Besides, XP saws only get a 6 month warranty anyway. Shouldn't be hard to wait a few months before breaking the rules

I was told Oct by our area rep for the new line. Letting the 357's and I think the 359's run out is the idea.

I would like to see some sort of rebate offer on those saws if they want to move anything relatively quickly. They kind of fall into a gap as far as cost vs. performance goes. For just a little $ more on either of those you can get a whole lot more saw.

Unless you fabricate your own hookup I don't believe you're going to get to play with anything. Same line as the carb tools, not gonna happen.

Along with controller the carburetor settings for different conditions, it will act as a data logger. All kinds of different running information to let us know just how "gentle" and "hardly used" these saws are when they're brought in for a "simple tuneup"

Fabing a cable would be the easy part. Figuring out how the software works and modifying it is the hard part. The carburetor kind works like a really simple feed back carburetor from the 80's. I've figured out that it has a built in break in cycle where it runs a bit on the rich side. Then switches over to a normal duty cycle. The software can't be too sophisticated, but getting it off the controller board. And not burning up the controller board and modifying is another thing.

I bet someone will build tuners for auto-tune saws like they build for hi-po cars & trucks as they become more commonplace on the market.

I hate to be a negative Nancy but I seriously doubt there will be a commercially available "Supertuner" or "Hypertech" unit for the chainsaw world...... But hey, hopefully I'm wrong.

I am thinking of someone building them as a semi-custom basis for chainsaw heads. Give it time and husky & sthil auto carbs will be hacked with the info being published on the internet. LOL Just think of a android app that you use a usb cable off your phone to tune a saw! That would be great!!

I expect that we'll see them in Jonny colors at some point in the future, but it's probably a ways off. It won't happen until Husky kills the 357/359 and 2156/2159 chassis. (I have no idea when that might be.)

I don't know how it can be any better looking than the orange and silver. Best looking combo in my opinion. I know everyone has their preferences though.

Not interested in the lesser version, it has been availiable for some time here I believe - but I told my dealer that I was not interested in that one.

They still look the same, judged by newer pictures they have released, The 560xp looks the same, except the air filter cover looks lower, as it did on Spikes pre-production saws. :msp_smile:
