I put the $2400 bid in, and came up second. It was really more than I wanted to pay. Woodchucker, I am the exact opposite of you. I would give away the 372, and pay big bucks for the vintage muscle saw. I only need 2 work saws, and the rest are collector saws.

Different strokes for different folks!

I respect your opinion and I appreciate you respecting mine instead of ripping my head off for sharing my thoughts which (in this case) are very different from the norm! :)

Nope, It twasn't eye.
My chainsaw funds are not up to
that level at the moment.
Besides i already have one.

ONLY one?

Absolutely man. There certainly is more than one way to go about this whole CAD thing. Just keep livin' the dream.

I was third. I knew it would go for a lot, but I didn't figure as much as it did.

Fortunately for all you brave souls there is a second saw available. I suppose if I didn't have the cost of California living, 5 of 6 kids still at home, and a wife who would withhold her "kindly" nature from me, I might be tempted to go after the second one......................Sigh.

Shhh,quiet!!!!

I bid on it first and it was mine for a few days.:msp_unsure:

If we were smart, those of us bidding would put our heads together and not bid each other up. I have a snipe set on it already. But, there's no point in running it up, if one of you already has a $3000 bid on it. I'm also leary of telling where I'm at, enabling you to easily just go one increment higher. Surely we're all honest enough here to get together in a PM and let the guy with the highest bid have it for something less than if we all bid each other up. If you're bidding and trust me enough to PM me your bid, I'll tell you where I'm at. If you're higher, and are 100% sure you will be bidding that amount, I'll back my snipe out.

You've got to be kidding, right???

I highly doubt them saws are NOS. Way to much paint missing everywhere. If you zoom in on the clutch, it looks like the sprocket is grooved from the chain. The rubber on the handle is cut in a couple places.

Qh Well Brad in a perfect world that may work but in the world we live in there are currently 64590 members. Do you really want to gamble that the seller is not one of them:msp_confused: He she will not appreciate this Do you really think that any serious member here is going to agree to not bid:msp_confused: I do respect your thought but in reality it will never work. I have stayed away from saws on ebay because a member here said they were planning to own it. That did not work well when I logged in and seen a Wards WD99 that ended and the member decided not to bid. My point is a bidding agreement seems highly unlikely to work when the site is so large and members"forget" to bid after other stayed away

It will be very interesting to see how the bidding goes on the second one. It is not quite as nice, but there won't be another one, so it may go higher. I guess a lot of it depends on how high the two "biggest losers" (me and Brad) are willing to go on this one. Brad, honestly I'm not sure how high I want to go yet. Probably a game time decision.

Actually the mint condition saws are not my favorites, because I like to run all my saws. I feel guilty running a saw that is perfect. Since I don't own a museum, I don't have much use for mint condition non-running saws. This second one interests me more, as it has a bit of light use already.
