OK, I will be the idiot to ask the question. Do you have an oiling system for the bar? If not, do you grease it or pre-oil? Or not even bother?

Damn fine looking saws, Dennis!

Take a look at the top handle, right side. You can see the breather and the oil tank cap. On the bottom on the the tank is a pitcock, with an on/off lever, gravity fed. Works good! At one time I used pressure from the pipe, but it didn't work as well.

Ahh Ha! Cool. I had to know!

OK!......This is a little tease for you guys that follow the StihlTimberSportSeries. I'll probably move this over to the Hotsaw section, but for now, I want you woodticks to see how the sport of Hotsawing is progressing. This is a stoker 270 Honda I just built for Mikey Forreseter from Glide Oregon. He is a strong competitor with the axe and the saw. Keep an eye out for him to do well this year.

Haters will be haters.

That's not me. Your presumption is incorrect, and you have been so blunt of late on a number of threads that I could burn you with the "hater" brand quite easily. But I don't swing a wide loop.

I bear no ill will toward anyone, including Dennis. I just like to call them like I see them, and it's plain Dennis started this thread in this forum to gain a wider audience for something he has passion about. That's self gratification. Is there anything wrong with that? I don't know, don't care, and don't have a horse in the race. It's not my place to judge people.

But I'm not going to start a firewood thread in the chainsaw forum, even though it would get much wider readership here. Why? Guess I just like a bit of order. DON'T JUDGE ME! :D :D :D

I never even hated my ex wives. Well, not much. And if you can't hate your exes, you can't hate anyone.

Figured this thread would turn the way it did after I posted. Y'all are so predictable.

And thanks for the correction on the Dr. Seuss thing. Whoever said it, it is my motto for life, as evidenced by my posts in this thread. :)

I've heard some guys where 2 pairs of ten layer. I know I'm asking for Labonville competition chaps for my birthday next month to cover my Husky 10s when Cookie Monster is ready. My 288 got 4 layers when it puked one, I'm not taking chances to have fun. Just me...

Dennis,

Cheers for posting. Those saws are wild . I'm with some others here, some "during the build" pics would be great. Keep on posting man!!!

He started a competition saw thread in the Chainsaw Forum. His motives are irrelevant, if it is a chainsaw why should he not be able to post here?

He can post anywhere he wants to, as far as I understand things here. And anyone can comment on his post or the placement of it. I didn't tell him he couldn't post here. That's not my place to say. I just offered my opinion. I don't think you have a problem with freedom of speech, do you?

Dennis, you remind me of a guy I used to work with. Too bad you are so far away. I would like to see some of your work in person. I imagine a person could learn quite a bit from you...
Yeah, you're good at what you do- and you know it. Nothing wrong with that in my book.

Only if you don't understand the English language. Well, if you can call English language in the first place. Mostly it's a POS, as am I.

I understand it quite well. Please feel free to explain where I am wrong in my previous statement.
