I'm sorry, we don't do requests. :msp_biggrin: You kinda have to be there....they lose a lot in the translation.

Then get my saws from Aaron and a muffler on that yellow car-up and drive thisaway for about three days. I'll supply the PBR and any brown liquor needed.

dam i wish i was able to tag along with aaron:msp_sad:

Sorry my friend. Was somewhat of a spur of the moment thing. I've got some old orange/white magnesium to tempt you with though. Turns out that sprocket nose on the S-10 is 32" (measured cut length, and the length marked on the bar).:hmm3grin2orange:

Also has a second, more reasonable bar (20" or so hardnose) and a spare engine with a good looking P/C and other parts. Will show it to you soon. Took two more black widow spider egg sacs out of the damn thing when I got home. That saw has more 'nooks and crannys' for things to hide in than any saw I've seen lately.

Pictures or it didn't happen....

Bob took some pics. It's up to Randy to release them. Unexpected automotive repair 'action' shots.....:D

Sorry Jeffus. Had to hold back the shpping moolah (what wasn't eaten up by the $300 "new" refurbed washing machine for the Mrs last weekend) to make sure I had gas money for the drive home. Your 200 and that ehhhhkkkkk-ohhh thing will be on their way next week. Had to put shipping off one more pay period. Got a nice 5-point spike set to send with your 200.

Oh that noise. Jesus Christ!
The interior sound level equals a SuperFort on it's way to Dresden, going up steep hills was nearly painful and that one hill was pretty steep. I'll give that old Ranchero it's due, the roads in Southern Humboldt are very rough and then there was the old Ranch road, which is almost a full step above a skidtrail. Other than a 120 decibel exhaust and crisping the glaze off the brake shoes, it ran the same as it did Saturday morning. Interesting contrast to this trip, we went from 75mph freeway to clawing our way up the Ranch road, it had ruts and waterbars as well.

I was wondering how the 'Chero was going to do when we were going up that ranch road. For a pickup it wasn't a big deal (at least as far as we went), but for a car chassis.....

Being behind you after the tailpipe-ecktomy.......................made me think of an old IHC truck with an RD478. Must've been deafening in the car. It drowned out my radio (and I was a good ways behind you) until I rolled my windows back up. Did you see that fellow coming downhill give you the smile and thumb's-up as you growled up that first long hill after the green bridge?:D

Yeah, I saw that guy. We amused all kinds of folks, went through Prairie Creek State Park, lots of people heard us.
It wasn't the first I lost a muffler up there and not the first time going over that hill without a muffler.

i do have a couple saws to bate the hook with:msp_cool:

Randy did you see this? Your saw will look about as good as this one after cleaning up (but won't have the NOS innards that are supposedly in the ebay saw). Gonna watch this listing to see where it goes. I just noticed that he put a .404-8 sprocket on the saw! Don't think it'll pull that very well. Your saw has a 3/8-7 sprocket.

I think I'll put the shorter bar on it (and see if one of my chain loops will fit) and sell that 32" sprocket nose bar by itself....

This is not a picture of Humboldt County roadkill...this is what happens when you try to take a Ranchero places a D-7 wouldn't go. Just 'cause they're the same color don't mean 'nuthin.

Eccentric provided technical support....and a big hammer.

We also provided mechanical advice and helpful comments...like, "you gonna take all day with that"? and "remember, righty tighty, lefty loosy".... RandyMac was not amused.

Bob is right about the D7, the Cat tracks stopped at the top of the hill.
On the way home, it was pointed out to me just how pagan the scene at the rock was.
It didn't occur to me that boulder is the only one for quite aways, it sits in an Oak grove, there is a depression on the top that caught some of the beer and red wine I poured on it. It appears that I am not far removed from my ancestors.
