Hi, I don't know if this cylinder is for Dolmar, but it came in a box of all Dolmar parts with Dolmar saws. It looks new, maybe someone knows what it fits. It says 52zn9 on the side. It is 52mm.View attachment 277564View attachment 277565View attachment 277566

I also got this piston with it, but its used, fits fine, but I don't know if it is the right one for it. Interesting piston with the hollow on top.

Any help appreciated. Thanks, Dave.

That looks like a Jonsered cylinder. Kinda like an 80/90/801 Jonsered??? The Jred 80/801 cylinder is a 52mm. Don't quote me on it but it does look quite similar!

308,

pedecessor to the 309.

That one fooled me too, looking at the recoil thought it might be based off the 152.

Check the bore when you get her. 47mm=70cc, 52mm=85cc, 55mm=95cc, they are interchangable.

I realize this might be crazy but does anyone have a 6800i name plate they would be willing to trade or sell?

My 6800i came with no name plate at all, so needing the small name plate that is found on the crankcase under the clutch cover.

Cheers!
Nate

You is talking about the sticker, not the tag right?

me thinks if they are still available edge and engine can get 'em.

There are many parts still availabe since Makita.

I got some top covers and filters for that series, NOS?

Dolmar 166 HD filter

Question:

The HD filter for a Sach Dolmar 166 was that orginal sold at the Dolmar dealer.?

Orginal Dolmar part.?

Reson i ask is because i only see these HD airfilters in US and Canada, not seen a HD filter on a SD 166 in Europe before.

No I need an ID Tag. The one that says "6800i" on it. Believe it to be aluminum and rivited on under the clutch cover.

Also.... WOW... the 166 on ebay went for $2200! Did Lee get it?

I saw that! I posted a screen shot on the WTF thread. It is a huge CC saw. Very cool. How much were they new? The bids went from $1100 to the final price in the last 5 minutes!

Marco, That filter is factory made by K&N.
They were a west coast option from what
i have found. Most 166's here in the states
have that filter set up with the full wrap bar.

Superdolmar, the K&N part number for the filter is either K&N RU-2740, or K&N RU-2740. The only difference in the two is 1/4" base diameter, but both have the same interior flange diameter. Unfortunately you will need the top cover to go with it I believe.

Is it still possible to order a HD filter for the 166.?

I have 2 166 saws in the collection, 1 with chainbrake and full wrap handle the other is without chainbrake with normal handle.

Good luck with that.

The I.D. plate has the serial number, but on the low use 6800 I have it is just a sticker on the "footpad" with serial# and a bar code and a Hamberg Germany address.

I checked the other 2 I have and there is no plate (and not a legable sticker). The 120si/116si had plates, guess they changed that with the Makita take-over.

Anywho,

dealing in ID plates is looked upon with disdain by many.
I know it's 'just a saw", but not Kosher any way you slice it.

Got a pic?

perhaps in Canada they were required?

I have 3, none have plates? They all have the boss cast into them.

Like said the one pretty pristine saw has a sticker/decal paint inside the rivit holes for the plate.

Regardless, not Kosher mixing and matching ID plates.

Pic of my 93 DCS6800i. (Thanks Struggle) It is an older series one (120SI metal brake handle)

I agree, serial number plates should stay with the original saw. Kind of like vehicle VIN plates...

Here is a photo I have of mine...
