I think so. I did run it a little this evening. It pulled a chain that was too aggressive for my 372 with an 8 pin easily. I hope to get inside it this weekend:D

I love my 395, it's like having a pick up with a turbo diesel in it instead of a V8. Lots of power and torque to pull just about anything you want with it.

I'm getting behind on this project. Not getting to work on it as much as I want. I hope to port it this week and then see about some more compression.

does anyone know if the stuffer plates from a K960 will push onto a 395 crank?

Interesting. I thought the K950 I did a while back looked identical to a 395 crank. If it's an adaption of the same platform it should work.

All y'all should just give up now.........I'm sending "The Wiggs" a 395XP to build. Just put down the tools........it's over.

:hmm3grin2orange:

I was told that the Walbro wj-39b5 off a 394 will bolt right up to a 395 and really wake it up. Haven't tried it myself just repeating what a local 'race saw' builder told me.:confused2:

You have to change a 394 carb from internal pulse to external pulse and change the choke lever fulcrum. It's not a bolt and go scenario.

Well he's a little slow but he might finish it by the gtg:p

I think I'm going slower than he is on this one.

I'll probably start mine in a month or so. If I don't finish it I already have a nice running 394.

I hope to get to run mine at Terrys some. That way maybe I'll know whether or not I've got to add compression to it to be close. :help:
