I'm getting this "Arboristsite is not responding due to a long running script" message with every page that I load. Getting it with any and every page; even when going from one page to another in the same thread. The header/banner loads but locks up until I hit "stop script" to get the thing functioning. Happened on the home computer this morning and now on the store computer as well, so that kind of rules out the computer itself. Only happening here on AS; no problems with any other sites. Starting to get real annoying. :msp_angry: Anyone got any ideas?

Me too. I contacted the adminstration but no reply, yet. I also spent $50 on some program to fix this and 8+ hours cleaning up my computer but I'm still getting the message - just a little quicker now. Ron

Spike...

Have you tried contacting Darin or Mrs. A ? I can barely operate a keyboard but we'll find an answer if we can.

I'm not getting the script message and so far nobody else has reported it but if anybody else is having a problem we'd like to know about it.

i'm not getting a message but the site is extremely slow for me.
I'm getting the same symptoms as Spike, just no message.

I have been having trouble for two days,I thouht it was my computer, but AS is the only site I'm having trouble with.

I also had issues yesterday with this. I just figured it was my crappy scrappy Wi-Fi.

Yes it's slow; a pretty consistent 10 second delay. The banner is there, but it is also locked up in the sense that the animation isn't working; it's just frozen.

I'm sure glad to hear it's not just me. :)

I was getting it a couple of weeks ago, but I was also having computer problems and just attributed it to that. I reformatted the HD and switched from Vista to 7...no more problems. Bob, what IS are you using?

Having same 'hang' problems Spike was.
Just now it seems to be hanging (frozen) trying to connect to something on Facebook.
Other times trying to load something from adview
Been doing this for past couple of days.

Firefox running noscript. It's the bestus. Nerd approved....

Allowing just any script to run is sorta a major security risk on the interwebs. I blacklist everything, and then temp whitelist just what I need and no more. Once you use it for awhile and learn which to whitelist or not, gets easy to use.

Eliminates 90% + of internet cooties and bogusness just doing that.

NoScript - JavaScript/Java/Flash blocker for a safer Firefox experience! - what is it? - InformAction

Yeah what zogger said. Us nerds would NEVER, if at all possible run such a kludged-up, nasty-vector as IE. POS

Running without an add-on such as NoScript could let any cracker out there take over the inner workings of your computer via JavaScript- really, really dumb. There's a huge number of potential perps out there, more every day.

Note too that many common apps have significant vulnerabilities, and require regular updating. Meaning, flash, acrobat reader, etc., etc. Secunia (dot) com has available a FREE "software inspector" to identify those that need updating, and point you to the source. Most highly recommended. Keep everything up to date.

Except that MS requires IE for systems updates, bless their little hearts, I'd instantly flotation-test it. Blub.

Oh yeah- no probs with the site. Not with Firefox.

THANKS, Zogger and friends. I just downloaded Foxfire and No Scripts. This baby is humming sweet. Ron

Well, good to know there's a solution out there. But either way, somebody's got this site hacked and doing something it shouldn't be. Hopefully Darin will catch wind of this and get it straightened out.
