Yeah,i know that Mark.New carb, seals, lines, filters, tunning perfect,no dust inside the cylinder and after ~20 tanks, low compression. The cylinder isn't so bad,2-3 signs of wear.Same the piston. No scoring at all.My guess is that these cylinders are very low quality. The saw is running perfect as it is.Strong, cool, nice idle, all ok.The problem is that when it is hot and i try to restart it,it is impossible except if i pull the rope 15-20 times.

No,i bought the aluminium cylinder with the chrome plated piston.New seals, carb, filters, tuning ok but after a couple of tanks,it was starting to loose compression.I don't really want to get an aluminium cylinder again so i am looking for a chrome bore-aluminum piston now.

there is no more of a reliability issue with the chrome piston/bare aluminum cylinder as there is with the chrome cylinder/bare piston. if the top end only lasted '20 tanks' that points a person in the direction of an incorrect tune or hidden airleak. 20 tanks imo points more to a poor tune, not 'low quality parts'.

I forget what saw your talking about but that is a common knock on some of the earlier plastic saws, not wanting to restart hot. It's more of a tuning/vapor lock problem most off the time.

Tomorrow i'll try to make a video of the 2250 running.I'll include the 2775 which have a new top end from a 4620.

Kostas, maybe I'm missing something (not unusual :msp_rolleyes:), but your post has some conflicting information which has me confused :dizzy:. Does the saw have good compression when cold, but low compression when hot?

Low compresion when cold and even less when hot. Please let me know where i am conflicting just to make things clear.
