Yes thats true, I noticed yours has a narrow belt, originally they had a much wider belt, you can still get those belts in a couple of grades and no join.The belt sander part is bad enough if you slip it will send a bar flying across the workshop

Hey Guys got a mate that wants to fix up and old 026. It needs a new piston apart from just measuring it is there an easy way to know if it needs a 44mm or 44.7 mm piston ? I don't think his caliper is accurate enough.
