That's what I been busy with for the past year. Haven't been on here in a while cause there's alotta law enforcement guys and guardsmen out here needing trigger jobs and AR builds. Not as fun as saws, but stayin busy.

What, no 440/460 hybrids?

He's got one sitting around there somewhere, but it definitely isn't for sale :p.

Have fun on your trip, Randy! Enjoy some time away from that bench, we wouldn't want you to get burned out! You best bring some pictures back of that fishing!

I'd like to have the trigger worked over on my old .22 mag. Great gun......too much pull weight as is though.

Randy, enjoy UR visit, and good luck with the fishing. What R U going for?

My Mom is the same age.

We will probably just troll over some wrecks Mike. My brother sold his big boat.....so going out to the gulf stream like we used to do ain't happening. He has a nice center console with two 225s.......but it ain't made for going out 30 miles.

I'll try to remember to take some pics Evan. :)

Lemme know if ya need a hand. There's plenty we can barter :)

Depends on the gun but I like to have the whole weapon for full operation and live fire testing.

Kinda like porting a jug without the slug and bottom end.

Around this time of year we used to get some Bonito off the Jersey Shore when my Dad had his boat. Had to use Spearing (for both bait & chum) and if you did not bury that black hook just right, you were SOL. Those things have great eyesight. They were usually 20-30 ft down in clear water, and if you did not hook the bait right, you could watch them swim right around it.

Best of Luck, what ever you go for.

To some, those are small saws.

Some of us work with saws for a living. So an 064 would be a standard sized work saw. Of course, I make do with a Mastermind 044, myself. Still, I need a smaller saw for the light stuff.

Are you liking that old saw Wes?

The face cut was done in three pieces. It's about 4 1/2' on the hoof or so. With the 30" bar buried in Beech so hard I had to sharpen the chain before the tree was down(brand new out of the box Stihl isn't as sharp as I had hoped), she just chugged right along. The oiler was doing so well there is still paint on the top of the rails(but, I think Iggesund Forest may be using Epoxy paint - it is slick as snot). That round you see off the butt came off pretty quick. I am quite pleased. It is the first saw I have owned where I am truly missing the decomp :( It must be ridiculous compression here at nearly sea level. It's already snatched the handled off me in a few painful ways. It's my favourite saw I have owned so far. Thanks a bunch, Mang!

that tree has a lot of burl wood in it. b et it would be pretty lumber

Well, we know why it's dead, don't we? I cut a bit of it off to see how bad it was. Burl on European Beech usually isn't so nice as maple or walnut. The piece I took off looked fairly nice. I think we will find something to do with it. I am gonna talk to the local mills, but I would be surprised if they can handle such a huge chunk of timber. The round I cut off was maybe 300 lbs or more. Took two of use with beech wood levers to move it enough to cut off another round to clear the fence.
