Thanks. I may take a closer look at one locally.
I've tried many chains including stihl for years .. All that changed when I discovered Oregon lgx blue tooth chain . Rock hard chisel teeth but soft rakers . Fast cutting and rips like the stihl rs and rm chain but way more durable especially in dirty wood. .

Yeah I just found some.on eBay now for about $17 free shipping although I couldn't find any for a 25" bar that has full skip thats a lgx

LGX is the bee's knees there. Big cutters, holds an edge, decent to sharpen.
Still looking forward to the husky chain coming from their new factory.
I run the woodland pro also in 20,25,36, in and cut a lot of hedge and locust that have a fair amount of dirt in them and the chain has held up well and I have no problem touching up with a file or grinding them on a grinder at home. I watch for a sale and stock up on chain.

Do they make a 25" lgx in full skip? I still have yet to find any on Google or ebay
Having tried bud's HF grinder, and listened to his comments, and owning an NT $100 grinder for ~1 yr., let me say that if you like the HF you will LOVE the NT one. Much better structure in the NT one. Much, much better. Good wheels avail by Molemab & Oregon.
From what I've seen and heard close-up, I would not invest the time or space dealing with the HF one.
for what it's worth, I have generally used Oregon 72/73jgx full chisel skip chain on the 2171 jonsered an husky390. ordered 2 new 24" loops from Oregon through the local ace hard. and received 2 loops of 72jpx instead($50.00) ? not noticing when I picked them up in a hurry, will try them out to see what is what other than the extra raker works.... bailey's states its better for the boring cut to lesson the side cutting chatter while boring into the back cut?

Just bought 2 Carlton chains for mine. Putting them on the saws today and cutting this weekend. Hopefully I'm as impressed with the chains as I am with the $avings

Why?
PRO saws are nice but cost a lot more. The 290 is a proven workhorse and just lasts. The 391 is also a very good saw. I have run a 310 with a 390 piston and cylinder for a while and have had the 310 for 15 years. It is another that just works.
Not everyone needs to have a PRO saw for their firewood cutting.

Exactly lol my 290 runs like a beast with my tune and mm i just got the 391 for the real big trees
