We're having a heck of an ice storm. If the weather guessers are right.......I doubt I'll be shipping anything this week.

Considering that I live at the bottom of the hill.........I don't see anything getting in and out of here. I'm not even gonna try. I also ain't gonna ask my FedEx driver to bring his truck down in here.

You poor southerners, I feel really bad for you.

BTW, that stack of firewood is 6 foot tall when your not standind on any snow.

The hell of it is that we have no resources in place to deal with it. Jon had to use the neighbor's 4 wheel drive to take his dad some stuff......he said they scraped a few roads.......and just made it slicker. The road dept in Fentress county can't do much. At least we have everything we need........let the weather do whatever it wants. I'm good to go.

Winter Storm Warning continues for locations mainly north of I- 40 through midnight. Ice Storm Warning issued for areas south of I-40 through midnight.

Winter Storm Warning remains in effect until midnight CST tonight.

  • Timing: through Monday evening.
  • Accumulations: locations along the I-40 corridor will have Freezing rain and sleet, eventually changing to snow before ending. Ice accumulations around one quarter inch are expected, with 1 to 4 inches of snow and sleet. Locations near the Kentucky border will have higher snowfall amounts, with some spots along the state line having around 5 inches of snow, in addition to one tenth to one quarter inch of ice.
  • Main impact: hazardous travel conditions will continue with icy roads. Scattered power outages are likely, especially along and south of Interstate 40.

I feel sorry for y'all Yanks. I'd move........f that place.

Don't feel sorry for us, you just stay inside with the wimmin where you belong.

Us Yanks will get out and do what needs to be done, bad weather or not.

Hell our women even get out and seem to be able to navigate a bit of ice and snow better then you whiners...

Same Here on all accounts.

Last year, BA was stranded in South Carolina with me for a week.
I was working N/S on an outage and she came with littleman to visit for the weekend: stayed all week!!

SC wasn't the problem; I-20 in Georgia was the problem.

I feel for ya... We did not know what our weather was going to do. Got a pork butt that was smoked, Carne asada and beans and canned deer to add to the leftover beans for chilli. All we are getting is rain ATM. We'll see what overnight does. I'm afraid that black ice may be in the future..

Oh snap.

Thanks Mark........I needed that. I'll go stand outside for awhile to regain my manhood.

I should have got a picture of my UPS man pushing snow with the bumper on his truck the other day for you as well. They are the professionals around here.
