And of course, they jump up onto the table, kindly stretch out to help the shearer, lovely animals..........lol

Vince may be offline for some time, just started his 3rd slab..........

Reminds me....10 yrs or so back called in to see a bloke, he was just heading into the new shed set up to shear his five sheep, said he hadn't ever shorn anything but
"Shearers didn't look that smart" and "How hard can it be, it'll be right Pete"

He dropped by 2 hours later, just left the pub with a slab, got 1.5 sheep done, gave up and fed his urgent need for beer, still remind him of that day, still
scowls and mutters threats not to remind him of that shearing day and how smart shearers are.

Dont you like alpacas Vince?

I've always thought they were pretty cool and can make good pets too.

They are pets to mum and dad but a PITA for me.
The shearer is a top bloke. We got thru 35 of them in 4 hrs.
I guess the bonus this year none of them spat at us. That **** stinks bad !!

There dead set kitties of things. But they do give foxes a tune up

That pesky Dead C#nt is always sneaking about in the shadows reading everyone's posts. Oh right your talking about Lamas, did not know they will bore it up foxes.

Speaking foxes, I often here them at night at the farm calling, gonna have to start the lead program when we start living full time there and have the old chook pen filled again.

Summer suxs ,nothing but heat and tourists constipating the place

Dont start me on tourists after living on the Mornington Peninsula. **** me. Mind you I did have my spare 3 rooms on Airbnb and made more than a cattle farmer would have made on 100 acres.

Do the same thing here and got a couple staying for 10 nights over Xmas. That alone pays for about half the rates.

Been asleep all afternoon. Yep. It's cooled right down now and given the garden a ripper watering....better turn off the AC now.

If I had to stay at home over Summer, I'd be in prison by now, such is my seething contempt for the sub-human swarm that invades every Summer. As it is, I'm looking for a bush block to buy further up North because the quiet season here is shrinking every year.

Yeah I'm a anti-social grump, I can't stand people or crowds ( crowd = more than 3 people in my face lol ). It's just myself ,dog and missus in the old farm shed on hundreds of acres ,the oldies I hardly see and they live over in the old farm house on the same property . No neighbours for a mile at least but I have to shop in town which is 20 minutes away , I hate leaving the farm cause of idiots that make my blood boil especially this time of year, I'm borderline sycotic mad ...the heat don't help the temper or patience, the rubber on 4wd hardly toaches the ground when I high tail it out of the towns.

The closest I get to this is heading up to the high country for a few days. Can't wait !!

On a positive note. The heat wave is over and it's raining pretty well down here [emoji106]

To add to this. Snapped one of the main bolts when bolting the cylinder back in the chassis. Full strip down and start again.
Then got it together to notice I forgot the shroud around the cylinder.
Half strip down. Heat didn't help.
Saw nearly took off down the drive way like it had wings but it's a mates saw. So a few tools did instead.
But all good now. Weather cooled and so have I. Beer in hand.
