No need to wonder. They do if you are talking ported 359 to a stock 361. I know Timberwolf would likely put his ported 359 against a stock 660. These are tough saws with a ton of potential.

Yeah, TW has one that he says is right on the edge. I am going for AS CLOSE AS POSSIBLE to a 372 in up to 14 inch wood. I'll work on my pictures.

.

Don't know why.

359

I have a 359 that was blessed by the hands of Big Dave. Not completely broken-in yet but I have been pretty pleased with it. Just wish Husky used the inboard clutch.

Whs361

The 361 was a used saw when it was sent to WHS. It came back an absolute SCREAMER. It is broken-in well and I laughed (really) the last time I used because it cuts so dang fast. The 359 is not broken in yet, and I just got a tach so I could make sure my saws are tuned correctly. Can't make a comparison yet but will certainly do so once the 359 is broken in. That 361 is blazing fast, so much so that I wonder if by accident I didn't get a stageIII mod by accident with emphasis on RPM/speed.

I am planning on selling one of them but haven't decided which one has to go. I have more invested in the 361... but we will see.

Hey RyDaddy, Just a quetion of intrest.
with all the saws you have, they are modded.
Have you ever thought of modding your own saw ?
Why do you stick to other people modding your saws ?

Self Made Mods....

Manual.

Excellent Question?

I honestly don't think I have the "Know-How" or skills to do a complete "woods port mod." I did however just the other night, rip apart the crimped muffler on my 5100 and tear out the junk inside and increase the size of the outlet hole. That was a big step for a guy like me. I then painted it with black high-temp paint and re-assembled. That prompted me to paint the 7900 as well.

I'm a Jack-of-all trades and a Master of none. Pretty good at a lot of manual labor type tasks and will attack just about any situation that comes my way at both work and home. But I really don't think I have the aptitude for opening up a cylinder honing down the piston, etc.... and getting it all back together.

Maybe I'm crazy for not trying it... maybe someday. If anyone wants to send me a dead saw to hack up I may give it a try...

Fred, are you being a little tease to these folks. :hmm3grin2orange:
