Here's my Harley.

Steve

I found this $25 3400.
I look carefully at the label when they are posted for sale to see if they are a 3700 or not. I have two like that.
This one appears to be a 3800. I wonder if the top end has been changed as the rear handle is an early type.
The color on this saw is a weird yellow. I've never seen one like it. The saw is a factory repaint as there is Poulan green underneath which is not uncommon.
The decals were applied after this paint went on. It's a pale yellow. The fine print on the label indicates it's 61cc.
The 3700 AF covers are more common on the 3400's up here than the standard ones which are always seen on the rebrands.
The Canadian 3400 - 4000 saws were assembled in the Skil plant in Toronto. Most of my 3400's came with 3800 top ends and are marked 56cc.
I will get the crud out to see what I have sometime this week. Maybe tomorrow as we are expecting an ice storm.DSCF3209.JPG DSCF3210.JPG DSCF3211.JPG DSCF3213.JPG

I like sportsters. have had 3, 2 ironhead '73 & 4, 1 alum '97.

Sweet. Dad had a 72' sporty 1000 4 speed he had overbored, S&S intake and carb, an Andrews camshaft. He had to put a big sproket on the back to get the RPMs up otherwise the cam made it lope to hard trying to cruise through town. Said it took down a kawasaki 1000 back in the day.

i love my 3400 sereis saws, will put them up against any saw in that cc range, they are bulletproof and have tons of torque for a 56 cc saw, used one for 3 hours Sunday and filled two trucks with it,

I really like them too. My favorites are the farm pro 375s 20160928_184956.jpgold pic the 3700 on the end is done and running too

Got my 3000 cylinder back. Did a little grinding. When I get back from Nebraska next weekend I'll set it up on my drill press.

Who welded that up for you? I have a stihl 066 cylinder with a broken off muffler bolt and the edge of the hole is broken off. I had my dad tig weld on some junk cylinders and they just burnt up instead of taking a weld.
