The trading post here is a great place to score parts. CHAINSAWR has 2 used ones. Last option would be a chinesium one from HLSupply.

Bought the crank from CHAINSAWR. Was a little concerned about buying a used crank but everyone seems to think that's the way to go and CHAINSAWR got raving reviews. Thanks for the help Ozhoo.

Can someone help me confirm part numbers for my saw?

I have the gasket kit as QS 1122 007 1051
I have the piston as QS 1122 030 2005
I can't figure out the cranks bearing

Can't help with the part numbers but wanted to mention, do not use rtv on the case gaskets. Rtv does not stand up to gasoline. I have used both motoseal and threebond. A search on this sight will turn up other options as well. I like motoseal because you can get it at just about any Auto parts store.

Bearing on the flywheel side: 9503 003 6676 Grooved ball bearing 6203
Bearing on the clutch side: 9523 003 4555 Grooved ball bearing 17*40*14

Thanks, I wet sanded to 600 then applied Rust-Oleum 2x clear.

Just got the crankshaft in today. Everything appears to be acceptable. It seems like there may be a little gunk in the connecting rod roller bearing. What's the best way to clean that bearing? Kerosene?

Kerosene will do it. I usually use chlorinated brake cleaner. That and a toothbrush. I'd put some oil on it (same stuff you mix for your gas) before installing.

Progress so far today.

Well today was frustrating. It's trying to start but won't. Because I didn't have a bar it threw the e-clip and washer off the clutch twice. The e-clip appears to be stretched out pretty bad. Possible reasons for not starting. I lost the original flywheel flare nut and temporarily used an m8x1.00 lock nut with a washer. If I ran out of thread before fully seating the flywheel that could be a real problem. I heated the case half with the coil attached because I didn't want to mess with gapping the coil. Could have toasted the coil. Didn't get the case halves all that hot maybe 200 degrees. It's getting fuel, and it's getting spark. Weak spark or poorly timed spark? Thoughts?

That coil may have issues, yes.

Flywheel key is intact. Checked the spark and it's good. I think at this point I over lubed the jug with stihl mix oil, and can't stop flooding it.

Well I give up for the night. I have good spark but keep flooding the plug over and over. I never flooded this saw in the 1 1/2 years of day to day use before it broke. I haven't touched the carb and it did sit for about a year and a half between when it broke and now. Should I try to adjust the carb?

Before you do anything else try a different sparkplug. I have chased a lot of fuel issues only to find it was a sparkplug issue.
