I've a few that I sharpen chains for. 2 of them are notorious for having badly warn cutters on the right side. Why? My theory is they lean heavy on the single dawg putting pressure on the right side. That is all I can come up with. Any other theories? Anybody?

Could be. I've stopped trying to get them factory sharp. Lots of metal to eat away to get the left/rights sharp and even. I just make a pass or two on both sides, and the sharp point (chisel chains) on the right side is not happening. They can cut crooked, til they learn how to use their saws.

Chisel chains that have hit some thing suck to resharpen
I have done 5 to 6 passes to get back to sharp point
But now I can do them in 2 passes even on worst rocked out chain

First pass at 20 degrees and take off almost all the damage from point of the cutter
Second pass back 30 degrees and take rest of the damage most of grinding will be on the tail of the cutter and will roll the chrome up a little

You have to remove all of the damage, or the chain won't be sharp.

That one took 1 pass at 20 degrees almost to the line you drawn and 2 passes at 30
I did charge double and there wasn’t much meat left for to many more sharpening
