And yet after building “dozens” and faced with a technical bulletin from the manufacturer you seem to stick to your skepticism.


I've also used a lot of after market parts not supported by Stihl. Your point? Have been rebuilding saws since 1987. Have yet to see a dealer bulletin mentioning using Meteor pistons, or anything other than OEM. You don't have to pretend to be such a know it all. Been around quite awhile and know a bit more than I post.

And so I wait. Parts are on order. Want to work on my old Dayton (Poulan) but figure I better do one at a time. Plus I have my sister's Honda tore apart for s front end rebuild right now too....
