Since it is always argued on here which saw is the best in each class I thought this would be a little different. Which stihl, husky, jonsered, etc do you think was the worst saw: mechanically, design, comfort, reliability, etc?

I don't have enough experience on other brands to have a good opinion, but I would have to say the 019T was the worst stihl model. IMO design and reliability had a lot to be desired.

Funny question, I will go check out the dumpster at the local saw shop here but am willing to bet there are at least one or two..............................

THEY FREED PARIS??? :)censored: :censored: spoiled RchBch, sheesh!)

Kk, worst saw, how about the POS Crapsman (maybe it was a Sears, it is so memorable) electric in around '72 with the squeeze bottle oiler? What a scary POS imho.

:chainsawguy: do da Wild Thinghy! :chainsawguy:

:)

Anyone heard of a Husqvarna 257?

I think I wore out my shoulder trying to start that thing one summer. Serviced 2-3 times, never ever seemed to run right. An older 026 Stihl took its place and noooooo problems. Kind of gave me a bad taste in my mouth for Husqvarna... Hopefully it was just a bad apple.

That new Husky 346xp sure looks tempting... Just as soon as I wear out my 026 Pro...:bang: 10+ years old and still starts first pull.

I would also vote for the Mini Mac 10 / eager beever saws, handle design is more apt for a child than a full grown person, and a PIA to repair, have to dissasemble entire unit to get to the carb. The Stihl 192 runs a close second, but hey, it is a Stihl and that gives it points. :)

I am tempted to say 029/MS290, but I won't........  :sucks:

...probably isn't true either, but is sure it number one on my "don't want" list (made up just now), between the major brands, the MS210 is number two, Jonsered 2137/2138 number three.......:yoyo: :yoyo:

Thanks for the responses. So far this is what we roughly have.

Stihl - 019t x 2, MS191 x 1, 021 x 1,

Husky - 335/338 x 1, 257 x 1

Homelite - XL, Any plastic one

Mac - Mini Mac x 2

Homelite - XL, 330

Craftsman - 70's model x 1,

Poulan - All green ones x 1 (lol)

Out of the Husky line it has to be the 335. Even after a redesign and almost 10 years later the saw still isn't quite right!!!

Hey, don't make me come back there and whack you up side da head.....

The 335 may be (mostly was, no longer) problem fraught, but overall, to me anyhow, is one of the best climb saws ever.

I knew someone had to like them since they still make them.

I would have to saw this saw is the worst model. They make them so easy to use now.

Wow, thats a great pic there Vap. One helluva tree stump and yes those saws were for guys back in the good ole days. They always say thank goodness the good ole days are gone. If I had to pull that saw I would say the samething. Great pic there...
