I know people do it . I just cant find a number for the 7pin clutch drum. I assume the 3/8-7 sprocket that is on my 385 is the same sprocket i need? I have the IPL parts list and it shows no 3/8-7 options.

I appreciate the help guys.

This saw is a toy. No milling. So i want 3/8 like my other saws. Im thinking 7 pin is a good idea... my 385XP likes it. Or is 3/8-8 a better choice? It goes out for port work and a MM in December.

And .404 is not to be found in my area. My dealer has GREAT prices on 3/8 chain.

3/8-8 is closer to .404 rim diameter. Same as 385 rim spline. I run 36" 3/8 -8

So are you suggesting that the 3/8-8 is a better setup for my saw than a 3/8-7...?

Yes I would recommend esp with lower rpms limit on stock 3120.

Is it a limited coil? It wont be all stock as said. Woods porting and MM

If that’s a rim drive you only need to change the rim, not the whole clutch hub.
