I'd get him to do it..
One thing I've learned, there are many different recipes that work for these saws. I've also learned there is as strong of a love/hate for the 199 as there is brand loyalty for some.
If they were expensive or hard to get I would agree, but the thing's gotta have a carb. It definitely doesn't make it run worse. The larger filter is nice too.I don't hate it. I just think it's silly for a work saw and the gain (that may or may not exist) isn't worth it.
You talking about Mike? Canadian Farm Boy?I would certainly have no problem sending a saw to Huskihl on the strength of the rave reviews.
I don’t want to volunteer MM’s work but he did a beautiful job on a 346 jug for me.
Also, I noticed there’s a builder on the other forum from Canada, does anyone know him?
I think that’s him. Winged avatar? You talking about Mike? Canadian Farm Boy?

YesZamma EL-42 any good on a ported 346?
I have 4 or 5 ported 346's and have switched all but one over to the 199 carbs. I can feel the difference. Well worth doin.I've had 346/2153s ported by 6 or 7 guys..the best 2 had the stock carb.
I think the 199 is a waste of money.
What does XS mean? Extra Sawsauge?Huskihl is a great guy to deal with, that builds a mean saw. Trust me.........you want be disappointed in the performance when you get it back. I just need to send him all my saws so he can put the xs spell on them. One saw at a time slowly but surely lol.
