Will never say never, but no plans on this end. It can be expensive, time consuming, and a lot of work, but times change, age , health changes, etc. A date for one was always a challenge too. Fall worked best for me here, but was always the same time everyone else having a GTG was happening too. lol Travel was a big draw back also. Long way to go for some folks, no matter where in the country you have one.
I hear that. I am too damn far away from anyone to even think about hosting one.
Best thing about our GTG's was the food, drink, and camaraderie and knowledge of these saws, sitting around a fire in the evening.
Absolutely. I think the evening before the main GTG is the best part of the whole thing.

2800 2700 3000 3300 etc use the upper left off hand and maybe others (those can still be had NOS).
All of that whole series uses the lower right ones x2. 330 etc. ( NLA)

Thanks, never ran into or used the “wood screw” ended type, they must go into plastic.

I knew the little #12-24 machine threaded isos for the 4200/5200 series are NLA.

Those Husky forked iso removal tools are great.

Yep one end plastic of tank. Then other end through hole on case with a nut on outside.

Maybe it shows in a old pic on this parts 2800.

Well unfortunately, that rubber gives out from age, heat, & oil/gas spills.

Polyurethane rod & a lathe may be required to make new isolators in the future for these older saws, like they now make for the degraded & split out rubber sub-frame mounts for my old turbo’d 1969 Camaro.

You still got yours?

Had a 69 65 66 in barn when went down in 2006. Ended up selling instead of going through the body restores again. Roof was going to have to be cut off of 69 to fix where beam creased.

Yep, same factory #71 LeMans blue color as yours, but no stripes, remember?

Map shows you guys get those crazy Derecho high straightline wind storms about every other year!

You had the pretty blue I wanted to do if talking about the 71 lemans blue, I went back to original 53 Glacier Blue

Mine came without stripes. Was a first 6 months production of 69's with the base couple 327 210hp H shifter cast crank and flat hood. But I always liked them with SS look and hood. So when I had my friend repaint to original color. I went with those too.
Also went with a 30 over 327 66 block with forged crank etc etc etc.

2 cars I started with and 69 before pic. The 66 in red was my brothers HS car. I bought it from him too.

Had like 4 different colors on it over the years. One was orange under it all.
