The eBay 562 looks good to me. My brother paid $800 or so for his new 562 with a 28, which he used for one job and sold to me for $600. :dancing:$35 for a wrap kit and then it was perfect. It had a slight “hiccup” while limbing when my brother owned so he brought it back to the shop. One coil/flywheel combo and 3 weeks later they discovered there was sticky diaphragm in the carb. Gotta love warranty work! The owner said it was the only time he’d seen that and it has run flawlessly since then.

For hardwoods out here it’s red alder mainly which loves to chair if you look at it wrong, that said that little saw keeps up just fine with it even swinging it.

Here’s some pics of @Skeans 562 with a 32 inch bar on it. His posts convinced me to give the 562 a shot, despite their problems.

272XP is a hell of a nice saw.

Stock except for a dual ported muffler. With a port job it could be even better, but very low hours stock im very pleased with it.

Are you a member on the other power equipment for the outdoors site Karl? The owner of that site will be having a sale this month. Brand new 562s were under $600usd I believe.
No, I have never really liked the layout of it and stopped looking at it after a couple of visits. I prefer the idea of getting used and taking it apart, I’m very comfortable doing that with Stihls and Dolmars and would like to see how a Husqvarna compares. I like to browse eBay daily when it’s ‘wind down’ time; from here on I’ll be looking for 562’s as well as the normals :badpc:

Here's me buck cutting rounds from a felled pin oak using a Husky 562 that I borrowed:

The stump is to my left. This saw was really impressive. I had a 24" bar on board and noodle cut all the rounds in half as well. A few were so heavy that I quartered them. Heat was intense that day, but this saw never bogged down.

Yup, a 562 is on my radar now for sure. First one in the UK that comes up in need of a bit of work will be mine
