More proof that smoking that funny weed back in the '80's has a much longer lasting effect than previously believed.

I'll have to say this, that guy is a marketing genius.

If I had his gift of gab I would corner the market on Mini Macs and make a fortune.;)

hahahahahahahaha x10. I think that guy is priceless I feel bad for the poor fellow that paid 350 dollars for a custom painted minimac hahahahahaha. I think ebay should take more acountability for what happens on their website though.

Looking at his feedback, everyones happy so far. Thats the main thing, but as already quoted "A fool and his money is soon parted". The guy is good at helping it part.

To that guy, it was apparently worth $350. I agree that he is very open with what it is, just sweetens the pot a bit with the incredible verbage.

Could you build one for me in rattle-can blue?

Mark

why buyer beware? he states exactly what it is and what he is doing. All of his feedback is fantastic.

The guy is doing a lot of work to each of these saws. He basically takes them down to nothing strips and repaints each part, bakes them to set the paint, and then puts them back together replacing anything faulty along the way.

if look at his time 3-18 hours per saw. A going shop rate of $60 means that he is putting $180 to $1080 in labor into each saw not counting his time for ebay. which is another 1-2 hours. It sounds like he just likes to mess with saws. Like a lot of people on this site.

Sure you could spend 350 at Lowe's for a rancher 55 that is modern. Some people don't want that.

I just meant that buyers should know what can happen on ebay. It is way too easy to set up a shill on ebay, and it is easy to get sucked into the "I'm gonna beat that guy" frame of mind when bidding. I see it at local auctions as well. Some things sell for more than you could buy it new. This is a little different because you can't get it new, so the value is what someone is willing to pay. In this case $350. If it went to a collector he has an interseting saw with a great story.

Well Shawn M. perhaps beauty is in the eye of the beholder.I really don't think a pretty saw will make it run any better though.

However if people actually like spiffy saws ,perhaps there is a vast market.Based on the price of the infamous "Black Max" it would appear my 125 Macs must be worth about 3 grand a piece.

Maybe I should call this one a Black Max super magnum and advertise it for 4 grand.;)
