I always replace with a new chain when doing dealer work and if no chain replacement, I measure to see if wear is more than .02 in or .5 mm. If more than that, then I replace. How much is too much wear on a rim?

Why not run them until they break in two. LOLThat's past too much wear.
That’s pretty extreme!
My gut was to replace this one, but the reason I’m asking is that it’s not immediately clear where the ok/replace line is, and I’d like to know.
Thats toast. Anytime the slots flare out, its time to replace that $8 rim. OR you can run it until it destroys the drum splines.......than theres the bar............How much is too much wear on a rim?

Bars are reasonable these days. Oregon is tops. ARCHER is out of Australia, and the USA distributor, Minor Karnes, and his Son, will work with anyone."...Then there's the bar..."
Truer words were never spoken, Captain. The last two sprockets I replaced (one rim and one tooth) had both succeeded in letting the chain(s) just about ruin the bar(s). I redressed both bars and shook my head while doing it. Both were in questionable condition.
Just like the GBar should be flipped every once in a while,When those indicator lines disappear it's time to replace them.
The groove on the left (where your thumb is) still has some line visible but the one on the right is worn past the line.
I would replace.
Hold up next to a new sprocket; keep a new spare, and REPLACE W/ #4 CHAIN AFTER WEARING OUT 3X CHAINS, per Husky Manual? How much is too much wear on a rim?

The thing you don't want to happen is let it wear down until the drive teeth on the chain start contacting the crankshaft spline, up until then I wouldn't worry about itHow much is too much wear on a rim?
