Started up the Woodmaster today, supposed to be cool in C Ohio for a few days. That extra hot water sure felt good in the shower. Saw quite a few chimneys smok'en this afternoon.

Nope

No fire yet, But i'm sitting here shivering!!! Brrrr!.

What I'm waiting for is the sweet smell of all of the dust burning off of the radiators when I fire up the regular heat (gas boiler).

Had one tonight, my first one in my newly installed stove. The new stove pipe smoked like crazy until it got "seasoned". Seemed to burn wood awful fast though, put out some decent heat, kept me nice and warm.

I suppose I need to start hauling wood up to the porch from the woodshed. No fires yet although tonight would have been a nice night for a little fire.:)

I fired my new Mahoning OWB for the first time tonight! I was really excited because I waited all summer to fire it.

24/7 for almost a month now with only a few days of no fire. Already gone through all the "uglies" - knots, crotches, crooked chunks, half rot, shorts, longs, etc. and just started on the stock (2 1/2 cord) in the back porch.

never went out

my owb has been going year round. I did today however turn the t stat up in the house and circulated some heat. Felt good. The heat has been on in the shop (same boiler) several times this week to dry paint, clear, not to meantion take the chill off. Its nice to have the heat on, and the door open, and not worry about wasting heat!

If the winter is typical of the last several,I won't fire up the stove until mid December when the temp gets in the 20's.Much before that and are you sitting around in your undies with the windows open.Egads, ponder that thought.:greenchainsaw:

Had my wood stove going since tuesday......after work

feels great......its around the low 40's around here in Northern Michigan.
Dipping in the high 20's at night.....gotta love free heat.

Fired the Woodmaster up couple weeks ago. First year that I didn't burn year around for hot water....Trying to compare to see if heating my water is cheaper w/ oil compared to the electricity of constantly circing the water from the OWB.
Happy Burning to you all!
