Thought I was going to mill some dimensional stuff so I chopped off I think what was a burl on there and just kept the live edge since there was some center rot and wouldn’t have got much If I went dimensional.

Going back tomorrow for couple more slabs. These are 4.250 thick and about 32” across and 57” long
Is that North, or Inner North East Portland?

That don't look like cherry. Nice slabs though!
Maybe a type of maple? Looks like our sugar maple.
Edit: small branches do look like cherry bark. Our black cherry heartwood is deep red with, light distinct sapwood.

Looks nice but good luck getting it to dry flat. Some real crazy grain there.
It looks like an ornamental Hybrid of the Cherry family.

It’s definitely cherry. Plum has purple in it
I’ve done cherry before and it did twist but I didn’t sticker it. I will sticker these. Doing that now
