The bacon is easy.
1 pound thick cut bacon
1/2 cup real maple syrup
1 tablespoon coarse ground mustard
Turbinado sugar
Preheat oven to 400
Mix mustard and maple syrup.
Put bacon on some type of elevated screen/rack in roasting pan. Brush first side with syrup mixture. Place in oven and cook for about 15 minutes until almost crispy. Flip bacon over and coat with syrup. Cook for another 5 minutes until it's as crispy as you like. Remove from oven and sprinkle top side with turbinado sugar to create a candied coating.

The bbq sauce recipe was from a cooking website. There's hundreds of variations, I picked one that looked good. Here's the link.

Ok, so this 1lb thing is just for sampling, right? 😁

Of course, that's just a test run.:innocent: It is dangerously good. It's crispy, sweet, salty and smokey.

Enough politics from me. Bring on some posts about trees, cars, saws, fishing, hunting...anything to make me less angry.
How's this.

Congratulations .
It's amazing that people still have these bundles of joy, almost like it's how things are meant to be :).
I missed it I guess, What did they say?
Basically their pronouns.
Here’s one…
anyone know, offhand, the specs on the tiny O ring that goes on the L screw on a Walbro WG12A from a 880 Stihl?
I have 3 sets of o rings but nothing that small. Looks like 1-1.5mm ID and 3mm OD.
No.
Just figured I should reply rather than just like the post, don't want to get in trouble again lol.
I use a 6lb sledge. I've watched literally hundreds of felling videos and see guys whacking a wedge with an axe but never see anyone use the axe for anything else. Axe makes a crappy hammer. I have saws for cutting brush and limbs. When cutting trees, I take that hammer and a large wrecking bar. I've found that combo comes in handy.
Same.
I've seen the guys use them to knock out the face(which can be done with the slegde) and put them into the back cut as an indicator so they can tell when the tree starts to fall(which can be done with a wedge on the size trees I usually cut).
I need to buy another small estwing for driving wedges, the one I lost was nice for it and it was very compact so it fit well in the top of my tool box. Maybe one that's a bit bigger wouldn't come up missing though 🤔.
What do you use the large wreaking bar for?

MAN..........does this thread move fast! I was off of here for eight hours or so, and three pages have gone by already!

You guys are a bunch of beer snobs LOL. :) Apparently I was raised under a rock, because I know NOTHING about beer compared to you guys, and I'm 55 years old! But in all honesty, I never really even drank beer until about a year ago. I spent most of my life as a strictly Bacardi consumer. I've left that alone now, and have a few beers, but at this point, I'm strictly a domestic guy. And when I really feel like getting fancy, I'll buy a few different six or twelve packs of Leinenkugel's. That's a local favorite around here, but I've got to admit, I haven't found one that I'm crazy about yet.

I'll have to hang around more, and learn about some of the better beers.

Congratulations! I used to think many years ago that congratulating a grandparent was a bit strange (after all, hopefully you weren't directly involved) but one day I realised that you've managed to bring up a child that values the concept of family and that is a great thing, my friend. All the best to you and the new parents 🥳

Ah, you mean like this...
