I like it, looks nice, but sounds pricey for a 1990. I don't know though?🤷
I know, it goes against my sensibilities as well. 10 years ago that was a 5k dollar truck. I just can't justify the 50k plus for a new 3/4 ton. I also don't want to buy a 5-10 year old truck that still has problems that are waaaaay more expensive to fix than an older truck.

Glad you heard from KK, I've been wondering where he was ... tell him best of luck with the hunt, and we will want to know all about it!

GrizzG, that is not completely true, you just need to give them some time ... White Oak, Red Oak, Sycamore, Tulip can all get really big.

This is the Dover Oak (White Oak in Dutchess County), largest tree on the Appalachian Trail! FYI, my wife is 5'10".
I know the trees are capable of getting big but given that much of this area was clear cut (including the Catskills) truly big examples are rare… and the “selective cutting” guys are exacerbating that situation. The old farms around my parents were pastures and crops up until the 50s so the trees are now generally 65-70 years old at most. The three biggest i felled were in the 29-40” range and they were exceptionally large compared to the others. Almost everything I cut can be done with a 25” bar and through cuts… I know Mohonk Mountain House Preserve has some big stuff but it’s been an expensive resort for 150+ years. I know they have 2 MS880s!

That 90 is clean for sure. I like some mid to late 80s ford and Chevy trucks but I don’t get the obsession for the older cars or trucks. Not into anything older than mid 80s, just my age I guess.

What do you fellas think of this unit? Supposedly spent it's life in Death Valley. 1990 K20 Suburban for 15k obo. View attachment 1078914View attachment 1078915
Looks really clean.
Nice truck .
It's only has the TBI 350 so yeah, it's underpowered. If I get it it will be LS swapped or possibly a Dmax/Allison swap. My 06 Express has a 6.0/4L80e drivetrain that I could use. There's a 05 Chevy Silverado 3500HD with a Duramax that I can get for cheap.
Not knowing what you use for it would be If you were to upgrade the 350 it should work well . My 85 is built to 1970 specs with extra head work so it’s pretty stout . The only limiting factor is the transmission specially if it’s a 700r4

Problem with getting a square is you are competing with collectors .

They just don't build the new trucks as well as the older ones.

Given the current environment, I think the price on that sub is very much in line provided the pictures are representative of the rest of the vehicle.
I agree, it's still lot of scratch for a 33 year old truck though. The rest of the truck looks as good as those pics. I haven't seen it in person though.

Pics?

The only pics that came through are that little orange Kubota…
You can get away with saying that .
I was going to take some pictures last night, but I worked out in the rain so long my phone got water in it in my pocket and the lense covers on the back side of the battery cover had condensation on them. I pulled it apart today and cleaned them all up and took a few. I only have about 8' to fill on the dam lol. If I only had your little tractor for a day :).

Hard to tell, but the dam is about 40-45- from the back bottom to the front, the change in elevation between the bottom of the gulley and the top front of the dam is about 8-10'. The front of the dam is only about 3.5' above the bottom, but I have a lot of dirt to move yet, should be 12-15' when done.
The tractor still isn't running well, I dumped the filter/separator 5 or 6 times and it was still acting up. Guessing the filter is saturated with water, I'll change it later this week and give it a shot.

New trucks are worlds better than the old ones. Literally in every way. People buy old truck for the nostalgia factor alone.
No I don't, I ain't sending a truck to the shop and paying outrageous prices for them to send it back to me and it still doesn't work. Most dealers ain't worth spit ;).
