So nice that the new road bikes now have disc brakes. They were generally NA on the high-end road bikes when I got mine.

Chris Horner won the Tour De Spain on a Modone 7, thus becoming the oldest guy to ever win a grand tour.

Same thing when I bought my previous road bike 2014(Ridley Helium.) Only a few goofy models had disc brakes. By the time I had to retire that frame in 2020, discs had become the norm. I love the discs on the Canyon on some of the long descents. We've got a few HC category climbs within an hours drive of me, rim brakes on carbon wheels required a little thought when it came to braking practice on those hills.

Yeah, I remember when he won...it was pretty cool, as probably no one would've predicted that result before the race. My only Trek was a 5200 that I bought used. That frame is still hanging from the wall in my shop.

Great
5010?

Here are mine...the Spesh is my xc racer:

The "fun" bike:

I put most of my miles in on this:

The guy I posted is the "artist" Jelly Roll. He sings country rap which I call crap. I'm a fan of many kinds of music but I just can't bring myself to like it.
Jelly is awesome, Seen him last year in Jersey with Shinedown and going to see him in august in Virginia as the headliner.

Look what the bunny brought. Can't wait for brown to bring the rest of the saw next week. Bunny even got a deal on the bar, less than online. Apparently not many folks around here run 3/8" chain on small mount bars.

Is that the one that's now on my shelf lol.
I don't think this really counts as a scrounge, that is unless you guys are open to expanding the definition to include 3 cord of ash and hickory logs delivered as a scrounge. But either way, @mainewoods hasn't started a "Delivered firewood" thread so I'm posting it here. In-laws came to visit today and this is what they brought. A few of those are pushing 24".View attachment 422532
Did you get that cherry down yet  .
Well, summer visitors season and all, can't scrounge much when you have to keep saving tourists from the quackeraptors...
RIP.

Both guys are full of **** but one of them puts out a good product.
I got some nice stihl chains off him(Piltz) that aren't sold locally, they are much better priced than any of the similar chains that I can find, and they are cheaper than the local dealers sell any of the picco chains for.

No real scrounge today. Did get nearly done bucking up those 3 trailer loads of logs tho. My oldest son is supposed to take some more of it and I'm hoping he takes the rest. ! I need to get on to some other things right now and we have tons of wood anyway. His preferred method is to not get ahead on wood like he should and then come get what I have split stacked and covered. Let's just say I'm strongly discouraging that!
How much do you charge him for a load ;).

Here's the cherry rounds I just bucked up.
There in front of some of the wood I'll sell for this fall. The pile behind the little trailer is what's left from selling last fall. Now that I got the new pole barn fridge and freezer out of the little trailer I'll load up(or have the kids load up :)) the little trailer with a load of splits to finish a cord order.

I'm so glad to hear that all of your projects are done and you have time to reminisce over 8 year old posts! LOL

That black cherry is not down yet, but the small bing cherry next to it brought itself down this year. It's actually still trying to blossom I think so maybe I'll leave it and the cherries will be easy to reach in July. Then I can take them both down.
