Got the wood logged and hauled today. Kinda got a late start, but it's out of the woods. I don't
think I'll get to prossesing it for a couple days. I have more tree removal work to do in town this week weather depending.
Rained hard all day today. That enclosed heated cab on the bobcat sure is nice for days like this I'll tell ya!

Cut safe, stay sharp and be aware!

I keep trying to convince my wife we need to move there, but she always says "no!" In a way that just makes my spine tingle in a really bad way.
Moving up to one of the Maritime areas is definitely something that’s piqued my interest a few times. Except for less winter sunlight, the winters would be more mild than here.

Cedar smells great when it burns! At least I think so and I definitely dont like the smell of poo, 🤔so I'm pretty sure it's not just me!🤷
it's one of the few woods I just flat out avoid burning, just because of the smell. Like the smell just fine fresh cut cedar, or even a cedar chest. The smell of it burning about makes me gag.

If I could convince my wife, I'd be outta here real quick.

I will have to try and see I think I have some cedar boards and shingles laying around

Sean, being close to home, being paid well, and the wife being happy is worth a LOT!

Part of the reason I retired earlier than I initially planned from my NYS job is because most of my audits were in NYC, so I was commuting over 2 hours each way on my own time, and the pay sucked! The commute got longer each year, and most of it was bumper to bumper, and after over 30 years I just could not take it anymore!

So, I took my pension early and became self-employed. The only thing that sucks about that is paying Federal Tax, NYS Tax and both halves of Social Security! Luckily, I get Social Security now to offset some of it, but it is ALL taxed!

How come they keep talking about Social Security going broke, but they never run out of funds for illegal aliens, and never consider precluding people who did not pay in from getting Social Security? I think we need to protest these things a bit more.
