Poor wife, she went to the Pocono Mts for a few days so the kids could play

Every time she leaves, a rifle just happens to follow me home

She did give me “her list” 🤣🤣

You will never know the true #s from the reported statistics.

A former co-worker of mine went to a very busy shopping mall and had to park far away. Near closing time, he was returning to his car. He was former military and had a carry permit. He became aware that a large band of teens were following him and had started to spread out around him. He turned and faced them, pulled his jacket aside (showing the handgun in his waistband) and they all just turned around and went away. Incident averted, nothing reported.

I once had to rescue someone who was being attacked by two thugs by pulling my knife. It was in NYC, and I was not allowed to be "carrying" my gun. One of the two thugs told me he would be returning tomorrow with a gun. I told him "Thanks for the warning, I'll have my gun too, the difference is I know how to shoot my gun, and I will not miss." My co-workers were all worried about the threat. I told them not to worry, we would never see that guy again, and we didn't. That said, I did carry for the next 3 days just as a precaution. You know what they say, better to be tried by 12 than carried by 6!
You should’ve challenged him to a boxing match!

Good morning fellows I’ve got about a half a day at work then I need to start Christmas shopping.

Told the wife last night that I plan on buying a bunch of led Christmas lights for the inside of the barn after the 25th lol.
I may start my shopping after Christmas. Better prices. Less crowded. Hate to rush into it tho. Then again there is always next year.

My older daughter was born on Christmas Eve. My now ex and her ended up spending Christmas Eve night in the hospital and they let her out the next day. Usually it’s a 2 to 3 day stay after having a baby, but she was doing well and she was our fourth kid so they figured they’d be OK letting them out after about 24 hours.

We had to fib to the older kids that the 25th is actually Christmas Eve and Santa came that night… we did pull it off although an old guy at the hospital almost blew our cover as we were walking out.

My morning conversation. Wife “ It’s 18 degrees out and the master bath is real cold “ me “ Take out the new carpet mats you put in “ her “ But I love them” me “ The heat comes from the floor “ her reluctantly taking them out . Such is my life

She seems to forget I put radiant heat in the bathroom when I gutted it

Not sure how my post got interpreted so outrageously.. I suppose I didn't properly characterize this audience

I support 2A and everyone's right to carry and self defend..

I was just trying to point out that not everyone wants to have to learn how to operate and train to use firearms in order to feel safe in their day to day lives, and that far too often ego battles end up turning into gun battles.

Sorry that my opinion got you folks riled up
I live across the river from St. Louis in IL, so I get their news as my local news. I don't have/carry a hand gun BUT I have nothing against anyone who does. Like you said, just as long as they have the proper training.

St Louis came up with a new law allowing an open carry. News stories about teens carrying guns openly down the streets. Increase in shootings. Now the city has done a partial reverse to counteract the increase. I don't follow the news that much, so I can't be accurate in my description.

I bet if they had some sort of screening process, guns wouldn't be getting into the hands of the irresponsible. Or at least reduce it.

Not to be a smart pants but they do....

I have seen several people declined when trying to buy a handgun. Wonder if they knew they had to pass check or if the figured they could answer no and they would get approved.

I find if you give all yr, you don't feel the guilt so many do around Christmas, almost as if it's something that shouldn't be crammed into a couple weeks of the yr.
