i have had a Poulan Pro 255 sitting around for quite some time.. it is the first new saw i ever purchased (around 1995) i had been wanting to modify it for a while just to see how it would do! i ended up looking at Husqvarna 41 parts saw i had in the shop and came to find the bore/stroke is the same.. other than much better casting work and finish on the husky engine, they are the same engine! ended up porting the husky cylinder, used the poulan crank/piston/muffler/carb. thing has actually turned out to be a darn good running saw! i call this mutation the "Poulavarna"

bar is a GB powertech i bought in about 98, that thing has cut many stump roots burried in sand and mud without even bothering to dig it out much. running a 7 year old Stihl picco chain on it that REALLY needs filed.

oh scott i allmost forgot, using the stock poulan filter and stihl mix at 40:1 like all my other saws get.
