My second saw today. What is it don't look like 046, could be 64 or 66?

Thanks.

A little cleaning and fixing the ground wire it's up and running good. I just need to get a handle and all the plastic.

how are you calling it a 66? isnt it hard to tell it from a 64 without looking at the cyl?

definatly a 660 or newer 066, the rounded covers and the decomp says its newer than an 064 (or older 066) and if I recall correctly only the 660 still has the screw in caps.

My older 066 is the center saw, notice no decomp and flat to plastic. The 064 had simmilar plastic and no decomp from what I've seen here. I've been wrong before but I'm pretty sure thats a newer 066 or a 660

Good score, keep an eye on ebay for the parts ya need and you'll be up and running in no time. My 066 is by far my favorite saw

Thanks. It wouldn't let me rep you.

Thanks guys just trying to help, I could be off base on the later 066's having the rounded plastic of the 660's but I pretty sure I've seen a couple with it here and on ebay. Either or is a great saw.

The later 066 and MS660's are identical, as far as I know, you do have a new tank/handle and clutch cover which are worth 150$+ retail. And the plastic looks intact except the air filter cover.

Close your eyes and wave your hands

Finding this saw for $50 is a crankin' great deal. And when you get it straightened up it will be incredibly satisfying to just look at, not to mention how wide you'll be grinning when you get it into wood. So do us all a favor--wave your hands over your computer three times and wish that all of us other AS droolers will hunt up a deal like this soon. You've been so fortunate the last couple days your luck can't help but rub off on all of us!

I got the handle in today and that makes it look better. I also won auctions today for the bucking spikes and a new muffler waiting on shipping. Any members with good looking plastic for a 660, air filter cover and shroud?

Thanks.

What? no "story" behind a $50 066......I am feeling jipped.......

cough it up........
