My 2 saw line up consists of

Stihl 024 av 41cc
and
Dolmar 120 super 68cc

I cut for my OWB and usually dead standing trees Up to about 20".

Both saws are in excellent condition but I am thinking about selling the 024 and getting something a little more modern and responsive.

Is it worthwhile to go to a Dolmar 420? or would the performance be too close causing disappointment?

Other suggestions?

I spent a day with a Dolmar 420 and thought it was a great little saw. It had a lot of power for such a small saw. It ran and idled flawlessly. It's not the most powerful thing out there. But in that price range $250 to $280 it is a solid buy.

GG any chance you'll be able to get up to Grandpatractor's GTG next saturday? (Link in my signature) There will be a couple 420s there to try out, and about any other saw you ever wanted to test out.

Sounds like fun but I am scheduled to work.
