Dealer says that the original points and condenser for this saw were problematic and mine is shot - OK. He bought a new condenser but it doesn't fit in the old mounting hardware. Is the mounting hardware available or am I better off spending approx $55 for a NOS kit (no longer available from Stihl) P/N 1113-007-1064. Opinions and advise welcome

Save yourself a lot of trouble and install an aftermarket ignition module instead of points and condensor. The wires must be switched at the module, the instructions will usually state this for a coil with reverse polarity.
I have not put points back in these saws in ten years, and I have had no module failures.
