It took a while and some parts, (carb kit, Ignition, paint, bar, chain, top handle and AV mounts) but it's finally finished. I want to fine tune it and rip into a nice juicy maple log soon. It won't surprise you guys that have done this before but I was astonished at how much time (and money) it takes to put an old saw back in this condition. It was so much fun though that I'm gonna look for another one to add to the "family."

Looks good. Just got my grandpa's 031 couple months ago. I bet there isn't 20 hours on it.

Interested in another 031?

If so search the Cincinnati craigslist , there's a nice example of one for sale as we speak. I thought about calling but don't really have a need for it so I passed.

Also , nice saws !

Can I send you mine?
Been messin' with what I suspect is ignition problems [stalls when warmed up] for too long, -without success.
I love the saw, but hate the way it treats me!
