So Wood Doctor we have 3.4 HP with 56 CCs at 11.6 pounds. I guess that's a fair mix?
Yep. Not sure if the 034 can be beaten today. The 361 has slightly more HP than the 034 and weighs about the same with 59 CCs. Then they bumped the 361 to a 362 and added more weight. No improvement there in my book.

However, the 034 and the 361 cannot be bought new at a dealer today (unless they are crammed back in the shop somewhere).

I've never really burned poplar. Always thought it to be to soft. Not so huh?

--for our climate it is a good wood. Use it in the morning to get the coals going again, and slip a coupla small splits under the fat oak splits. Also good in early fall and spring all by itself, when you don't want a blazing fire, just "some" fire. I mix that and some pine in with all my hardwood.

Wicked fun to block and split, too, nice pretty straight beefy rounds. Wait for a few cracks, then have at it! Most satisfying pops. I think of it as "ash lite".
