038 missing chain tensioner parts

OK, my saw came to me with just the pictured tensioner parts...plus the oiler plate and its screw.

The IPL looks like I also need two missing parts:

#1 Collar screw M8 0000 953 6605
#4 Clamp 118 021 9000

Are those two parts part of the tensioner assembly?

Collar screws are the bar studs, you've got those.

You need the clamp.

The little screws in the gas tank vent line are called "grub screws".......

If nothing else you could make one of those "clamps" out of a piece of rubber...

Part number 4, the "clamp", is a small piece of nylon/plastic which holds the "adjusting screw" part number 2 down.
I made one for my neighbors 038AV.
He lost the "clamp" and it caused the "adjusting screw" part number 2 to bend so much it couldn't be turned more than 1/4 turn forth and back.
I don't know whether I took pictures of the custom made "clamp", I'll take a look.

It is just a small rectangular hunk of black plastic, with a concave on one side to fit the curve of the adjuster screw. I'll see if I can scrounge up one.

$ 3-4 at a Stihl dealer or make one from a piece of hard plastic.

Hardware store might have plastic bushings with same I.D. as the adjuster? 5 or 6 mm ~1/4"? Hacksaw and a dremel to shape it.

I looked through my pictures, it seems I didn't take a picture of the one I made.

But as @HarleyT posted, it is a simple piece of plastic with little to it.

OK, final report. I tried making one...and, ended up buying buying the part.
$2.50 from my dealer.
I think this is the last thing my 038M needs.
