All,
Oil pump quit on my 038 Mag. Ordered my replacement from Baileys. Go to install and find that there is something stuck into the top port of the oil openings. It almost looks like it was put there. The old one does not have it though. Do you think it a piece of flashing from the casting process or could it be done on purpose? To my notion it has got to go.
Here is a pic. Let me know if I should just pull it out or what.
