Is there any way I can tell which 038 I have. It's only says 038AV Electronic on the top so I can be pretty sure it ain't a magnum or super. How many different 038's were there, 3 or 4. I'd like to know my engine specs most of all. The chainbrake is only a handguard. I could use some old school knowledge on this. Thanks!

Look at the base of the cylinder on the clutch side and post what is stamped on there, it will be a combo of letters and numbers. Pict of you saw will help. Go to acresinternet . com and look up Stihl gas saws and look at the 038 series. Yours should be 61cc size.
