042 stihl coil cuts out when hot

is there a different style flywheel and coil setup. mine is sem style. recently got it someone used coil from it. I put used coil on it but that one cut out when warm. The saw had never had gas in it. I put gas but no oil fired right up. no scratches is new. hopefully someone can help me out thank you

Not framilar with 042, but cutting out when running a short while is sign of a bad coil.

Experience w/056M and tractors.
