I don't have mine apart right now. When I did it. The highest point if the cam. Which yields the most lift of the piston was facing slightly away from the piston. So I ground the stop a little to make the highest point of the cam contact the ramp of the piston. I also ground the low point of the ramp for more travel. I'm trying to understand why you ground the low points and I don't understand what purpose that serves.

Carlos, im sorry I'm not fully understanding your questions. When you say, "high and low points" of cam are you referring to the high and low lobes or the spots of the lobes when refferrenced to the center of the bolt?

I guess you'd say this highs and lows referenced to centerline. Directly where the piston ramp rides. And it's carlo... No s please.

Carlo, no s. Check. Grinding the bolt as shown allows the pocket of the piston to collect more oil when exposed to the tank side of the pump.
