046 compared to 044 crank case

I need a clutch side case half for a 046, will a 044 case work? The item I am looking at says 044/064 case but I dont see how they can be the same. The stihl part number that I could make out is 1128-021-0761 which is the flywheel side but it comes with both halves.

046 cases and 044 cases are completely different. They cannot be mixed and matched. The 046 case is about 3/4" longer than the 044 case.

Thanks for the info, exactly what I needed to know. Can anybody verify this stihl part number 1128-021-0761 could be a 460 or 044/440 case part number.
