048 muffler mod

Has anybody done a muffler mod on a 048? I picked up a 048 and just got it running and am thinking about modding the muffler. Will this help this model? How much carb. adjustment will have to be made? thanks :greenchainsaw:

My 048 had a dual port muffler on it when I got it used last year. Maybe they were built this way before the epa got a hold of them. Take a look at yours to see if you have 2 outlets. You may not need to mod it.
