Whats with the fiberglass tape on the outside of the starter ring? I noticed this on a saw I recently bought. I peeled it off right away cause I was worried about it coming off while running and messing up the flywheel, coil pickup, cooling fins ect. Now I'm looking at cheapstihlparts and I see another starter ring with the same fiberglass tape!! What and why :jawdrop: please,.. also I see another starter ring made of plastic. Is this some type of insert for worn out ring? Should I have left the fiberglass tape on?? Thanks
