Hello can any one please tell me where i may find a new hard nose 12 inch bar 50 gauge for my 020's I've been searching awhile - Stihl part # 3005 000 8605

Baileys has them Look up in the sponsor window and go from there.they are after market but still good quality.

Not to be a smart a--, but have you tried a Stihl dealer? There or ebay would be the only place to get a factory Stihl bar. I just looked in Bailey's and they've got a 12" in .043, and a 14" in .050 for that saw. Both in .365 LP. You might call them, and see if they can scare anything up for you that may not be in the catalog. I see 12"/.050g, but not for your saw.

My question is why do you want a hard nose ?

I do not see a listing for 3005 000 8605 but the sprocket tip is 3005 000 4805. I may have a new one or at least some other brands.

i would like to find a hard nose bar because i need 50 gauge 1\4 " pitch i have never seen nor heard of a 12" 1\4 pitch sprocket tip to fit a stihl 020 have you ? i have a whole roll of 1/4 pitch stihl chain and i really like the way a 020 preforms with this set up ! Hunt Fish Wood i am about 50 mi. south of Chicago between Lowell and Ceader Lake

Yes I have.

I have a 1/4 pitch 12" bar that will fit the 020. It is used and came in on a 021. I swapped it out to 3/8LP and sold the 021. You did not say you wanted to run 1/4 chain. Bailey's offer\ two carving bars that will fit the 020. Item #12501 $49.95 and 12500 $64.95 This is out of the Spring 005 sale catalog.

There is a reason I swapped it out. I figured I may want it in the future so I need to keep it.
