1977 BCIT Competition...Eons ago.

I found these in a pile of stuff. Lordy, that was a long time ago. And I see I did run some kind of a saw. I think it got started by somebody else. Our community college team placed last. It was quite the adventure.
What kind of a saw was I running? Looks like an orange one.

Oh, it was at the British Columbia Institute of Technology in Burnaby, BC. We got held up a long time at the border the night/wee hours before. One of the guys answered Yes to a question he should have answered No to. So each one of us had to undergo more questions. Then they let us in.

I'm guessing the first photo is a mirror image. That would explain why the clutch cover is on the opposite side. Unless a few slipped out of the factory....

Sometimes. But I think I must have goofed it up while trying to flip the picture up so it wasn't sideways. Must review angles....must review angles.Good catch.

That would be a kerosene bong. For the saw. There's a third person whose job it is to occasionally whack the wedge and squirt some kerosene in on the saw. A manual oiler for a misery whip.
