I purchased a non running 257 that had low compression. After disassembling the saw I found the piston ring was broken in two places. I couldn't see any damage to the piston or cylinder so I purchased an aftermarket ring and reassembled. The saw started up ran good for about 30 minutes of use before it died. Checked compression and found it low again. Disassembled saw again and found the ring broken in two pieces again. Any suggestions on what the problem might be?
